Stakeholder Identification: The project will begin by identifying and engaging with key stakeholders within each entrepreneurial ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, academia, support organizations, and industry associations. Stakeholder engagement will help ensure comprehensive coverage and representation of the ecosystem.

Mapping and Analysis: The collected data will be used to create comprehensive maps of the entrepreneurial ecosystems, visually depicting the interconnectedness and interdependencies of different stakeholders, resources, and support services within each ecosystem. The maps will highlight strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for intervention or investment.

Ecosystem Assessment: The project will conduct a systematic assessment of each entrepreneurial ecosystem, evaluating its overall health, vibrancy, and resilience. This assessment will identify ecosystem assets, such as thriving startup hubs, innovation clusters, and supportive entrepreneurial communities, as well as challenges and barriers hindering entrepreneurial activity.

Data Collection: The project will involve collecting qualitative and quantitative data on various aspects of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including access to capital, talent, mentorship, infrastructure, regulatory environment, market dynamics, and cultural factors. Data collection methods may include surveys, interviews, focus groups, and analysis of existing literature and reports.

Expected Outcomes:

  1. Insightful Ecosystem Maps: The Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Mapping project will produce detailed maps and visualizations of entrepreneurial ecosystems across different regions, providing stakeholders with valuable insights into the dynamics and characteristics of each ecosystem.

  2. Informed Decision-Making: By identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities within each entrepreneurial ecosystem, the project will empower policymakers, investors, support organizations, and entrepreneurs to make more informed decisions about resource allocation, policy development, and strategic investments.

  3. Resource Allocation: The mapping project will help guide the allocation of resources and investments to areas of greatest need and potential within entrepreneurial ecosystems, ensuring that limited resources are deployed effectively to support business creation and growth.
